Description

You will develop and maintain applications using the Ruby on Rails framework in a Linux-based environment via Microsoft 365 VDI.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain server-side logic using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Manage data persistence and database queries using SQL and MongoDB.
• Deploy and manage cloud services within an AWS environment.
• Participate in Agile software development cycles and CI/CD processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with MongoDB.
• Experience with AWS services including SQS, SNS, Lambda, FileGateway, and S3.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Atlassian Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and command line.
• Experience working in an Agile development methodology.
• Ability to work in a Microsoft 365 VDI environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Atlassian tools including Confluence and Jira.
• Experience with Service-Now, Active Directory, LDAPs, Okta, or PMP.
• Background or understanding of scientific domains.
