Description

Develop performant, scalable, and testable MVC components for web applications using Ruby on Rails. You will own the release pipeline and contribute to architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Write reusable code following DRY and KISS principles and standard design patterns.
• Build custom modules, libraries, and engines to extend framework or gem functionality.
• Analyze complex project requirements and conduct necessary technical research.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to meet delivery deadlines.
• Contribute to architectural and technical decisions for Rails projects.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
• Hands-on experience with Rails 6 or above.
• Proficiency in Object-oriented programming and client-server architecture.
• Experience with relational and non-relational datastores.
• Experience using ERB or other templating engines.
• Knowledge of implementing gems for authentication, authorization, pagination, and file management.
• Experience with TDD/BDD using RSpec, Cucumber, or MiniTest.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, Bootstrap, SASS, and TypeScript.
• Experience with JavaScript build tools, AJAX/DOM manipulation, JSON, XML, and YAML.
• Experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab in Agile environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Angular, React, or Vue.
• Experience migrating Rails applications from older versions to current versions.
• Experience with older versions of Ruby and Rails.
