Description

Senior Ruby on Rails Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications. You will own the full development lifecycle, from system design to deployment, while ensuring high code quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement critical backend components and APIs using Ruby on Rails.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and security vulnerabilities in existing applications.
• Lead system design changes and ensure alignment with architectural standards.
• Integrate data storage solutions including MongoDB and Redis.
• Review code and design proposals to maintain compliance with engineering standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable Ruby code.
• Experience with testing frameworks like RSpec and mocking tools.
• Strong knowledge of versioning tools: Git, GitHub, SVN, or Mercurial.
• Familiarity with MVC patterns, RESTful services, and ORM.
• Experience with server-side templating (Slim, Liquid).
• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Experience with Ubuntu or Red Hat Linux environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AngularJS, BackboneJS, or React.
• Familiarity with background job processing libraries like Resque.
