Description

You will design and maintain highly scalable, distributed Ruby on Rails services serving tens of millions of requests daily.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications.
• Build performance-sensitive mid-tier services using service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Develop and maintain APIs for high-traffic systems.
• Document, test, and modify existing systems to ensure stability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring within an agile team.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Building SOA-based services.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with API development and consumption.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Vim.
• Experience using GitHub for version control.
• Familiarity with Agile development methods.
• 3+ years of experience for junior roles; 5+ years for senior roles.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of JavaScript and other front-end technologies.
