Description

You will build and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails, focusing on the BT Vault feature set.

Responsibilities

• Develop efficient, clean code for feature requirements and complex data structures.
• Troubleshoot customer-reported issues within Vault products.
• Design, program, and optimize PostgreSQL databases and queries.
• Monitor applications using Splunk and Datadog.
• Collaborate with Product Managers using agile methodologies to deliver solutions.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience building web applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Deep understanding of Ruby syntax and nuances.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, database design, and query optimization.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with external APIs and payment processor APIs.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and JIRA.
• Experience with TDD and test-heavy development approaches.
• Knowledge of microservices and monolith application development.
• Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes (k8s).

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing analytics or search-based applications.
• Experience with large-scale application performance optimization.
