Description

Lead the upgrade of a complex Ruby on Rails application from version 4.2.4 and manage its migration to AWS.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Finalize Ruby and Rails version upgrades and upgrade all application dependencies and Ruby Gems.
• Assist with the final stages of the AWS migration.
• Configure networking, security, and API functionality within a serverless AWS environment.
• Execute Blue/Green Fargate deployments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrable experience with Ruby on Rails.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS (IAM, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, EFS, CodePipeline, Fargate).
• 2+ years of experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks, preferably AngularJS.
• 2+ years of experience developing applications that consume and expose RESTful web APIs.
• 2+ years of experience using git/GitHub for version control and code deployment.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work full-time during EST business hours.
