Description

You will design and build complex, multi-tier distributed software applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document multi-tier distributed software applications.
• Build performance-sensitive systems capable of serving tens of millions of requests daily.
• Develop mid-tier services within a service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the team.
• Test and modify systems to ensure scalability and reliability.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Proven experience building highly scalable and distributed services.
• Experience working with Postgres and other relational databases.
• Proficiency with SQL.
• Experience with Linux and VIM.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub and API development.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methods.
• Ability to work within a service-oriented architecture (SOA).

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of JavaScript and other front-end technologies.
