Description

You will provide technical design, development, and maintenance services for a Decidim-based digital participation platform.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade the Ruby on Rails platform to the latest version (.31) to enable new features like Taxonomy and Spam prevention.
• Implement and repair platform features, including customizing Term Customizer and enhancing the Groups feature for usability.
• Develop views for users to view statistics on their usage and fix existing bugs across the platform (e.g., image attachments, outbound links).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver maintainable code.
• Support deployment and DevOps processes, including managing environments and CI/CD workflows as needed.

Required Skills

• At least four years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Minimum four years of experience in front-end web development, including JavaScript and CSS.
• Minimum four years of experience working closely with developers, project managers, and/or designers on a team.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with AWS.
• Ability to onboard quickly to new platforms and systems while balancing independence and support seeking.
• Proficiency in building and enhancing platform functionality using Ruby on Rails and the Decidim stack.
