Description

You will own the technical design, development, and maintenance of a Decidim-based digital participation platform, ensuring stable upgrades and new feature delivery.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade the Ruby on Rails platform to version 6.1 to enable Taxonomy and Spam prevention features.
• Customize Term Customizer and enhance the Groups feature for improved usability.
• Develop user-facing views to display usage statistics and resolve bugs such as image attachment and outbound link issues.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications and deliver maintainable code.
• Support deployment and DevOps processes, including environment management and CI/CD workflows.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
• 4+ years of front-end web development experience, including JavaScript and CSS.
• Proficiency in building and enhancing platform functionality using the Decidim stack.
• Experience working with AWS.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Ability to onboard quickly to new platforms while balancing independence and support.
• Strong collaboration skills with developers, project managers, and designers.
