Description

You will design, implement, and maintain highly scalable, distributed Ruby on Rails services that handle tens of millions of daily requests.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build performance-sensitive mid-tier services within a service-oriented architecture.
• Design, implement, document, and test complex multi-tier distributed software applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior team members.
• Contribute to an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and building scalable services.
• Proficiency in working with Postgres and other relational databases.
• Experience developing and integrating APIs.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments using VIM.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of JavaScript and other front-end technologies.
