Description

You will modernize Ruby applications and own their deployment infrastructure on AWS. This role focuses on containerization, CI/CD automation, and zero-downtime release strategies for Rails 7/8 environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Set up and validate development and testing environments for Ruby applications.
• Build parallel deployment environments to support application modernization initiatives.
• Update CI/CD pipelines for Ruby 3.3 and Rails 7/8 framework upgrades.
• Support ECS deployment activities and containerize Ruby applications using Docker.
• Implement deployment automation and Blue-Green strategies for zero-downtime releases.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby and Rails frameworks.
• Strong proficiency with AWS ECS, Docker, and containerization.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of AWS Networking and Linux Administration.
• Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting and production cutover planning.
• Ability to support hypercare and production stabilization activities post-deployment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS Lambda deployment.
• Familiarity with observability, monitoring tools, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
