Job Description

The Salesforce CPQ Architect is responsible for designing implementing and governing scalable CPQ solutions on the Salesforce platform This role works closely with business stakeholders sales operations product management and technical teams to deliver robust performant and compliant quoting and pricing solutions

Key Responsibilities

CPQ Architecture Design

Design endtoend Salesforce CPQ architecture including product modeling pricing discounting approvals and contract generation

Define scalable solutions for complex product configurations bundles and rules Product Price Configuration and Validation rules

Architect integrations between Salesforce CPQ and ERP systems SAP Oracle NetSuite etc

Ensure solutions align with Salesforce best practices security and performance standards

Implementation Delivery

Lead CPQ implementations from discovery to deployment

Translate business requirements into technical designs and solution blueprints

Oversee configuration of

Products Price Books Bundles

Discount schedules Price rules

Quote templates and document generation

Provide handson guidance to developers and administrators

Stakeholder Business Collaboration

Act as a trusted advisor to Sales Finance Legal and Operations teams

Conduct solution workshops and design reviews with senior stakeholders

Recommend CPQ best practices to improve sales efficiency and deal velocity

Governance Quality

Establish CPQ governance standards and design patterns

Perform solution reviews risk assessments and performance optimization

Ensure compliance with pricing discounting and approval policies

Leadership Mentorship

Mentor CPQ developers and admins

Review code configurations and solution designs

Support presales activities and solution estimations when required

Quote contract generation

Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and data model

Technical Skills

Apex SOQL SOSL for CPQ extensions

Lightning Experience and Flow

Integration patterns RESTSOAP APIs Middleware

Data migration and deployment tools Change Sets SFDX

Architecture Integration

Experience integrating CPQ with

ERP SAP Oracle Dynamics

Billing and Order Management systems

Knowledge of OrdertoCash O2C processes
