Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Engineer / Technical Lead to lead the enterprise migration from Azure DevOps (ADO) to GitHub, while enabling modern DevOps practices and seamless integration with Salesforce.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on engineering expertise with program leadership skills, and have proven experience executing large-scale DevOps platform transformations in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. DevOps Transformation & Migration Leadership

• Lead end-to-end migration from Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts) to GitHub (GitHub Enterprise / Actions / Projects)
• Define migration strategy including:
  • Repository migration
  • CI/CD pipeline migration (ADO Pipelines → GitHub Actions)
  • Work item tracking transition (Boards → GitHub Projects or alternatives)
• Drive roadmap, timelines, and stakeholder alignment
• Establish governance, standards, and best practices

2. Hands-on Engineering & Development

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Write and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
• Optimize build, test, and deployment workflows
• Implement reusable workflows and DevSecOps controls

3. Salesforce Integration

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud / Experience Cloud)
• Integrate GitHub with Salesforce using:
  • Salesforce DX (SFDX)
  • Git-based source control workflows
• Enable:
  • Automated deployments
  • Environment management (scratch orgs, sandboxes)
  • Quality gates (testing, code validation)

4. DevOps Architecture & Tooling

• Establish enterprise DevOps architecture including:
  • Git branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based, etc.)
  • Secrets management, security scanning, and compliance controls
• Integrate with tools such as:
  • Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus, Artifactory)
  • Security tools (SAST/DAST, secret scanning)

5. Governance & Compliance

• Define standards for:
  • Repository management
  • Access controls and permissions
  • Code reviews and audit trails
• Ensure alignment with enterprise security and compliance policies
• Enable traceability and audit readiness

6. Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement

• Work with enterprise architects, security, and application teams
• Conduct workshops, training, and onboarding sessions
• Mentor engineers on GitHub, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices

7. Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve developer productivity
• Monitor pipeline performance and optimize for speed and reliability
• Drive DevOps maturity improvements across teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps / Software Engineering
• Proven experience leading Azure DevOps to GitHub migration initiatives
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions
  • Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards)
• Experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on coding/scripting expertise (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)

Salesforce Requirements

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce
• Hands-on with:
  • Salesforce DX (SFDX)
  • Git-based version control for Salesforce
• Understanding of Salesforce environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod, Sandboxes)
