Description

Lead shift operations for a team of 10–15 SAP Basis consultants while delivering hands-on support for S/4HANA, Business Suite, and EWM landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Manage system monitoring, performance tuning, and transport management using ChaRM/CTMS.
• Drive SAP HANA performance optimization, troubleshooting, and data growth analysis including deletion and partitioning.
• Execute system refreshes, upgrades, kernel/database maintenance, and security updates in line with ITIL practices.
• Create shift rosters, allocate tasks, and train junior consultants to ensure knowledge sharing and productivity.
• Collaborate on infrastructure planning, system sizing, and HA/DR strategies while maintaining documentation for audits.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration covering ABAP and Java stacks.
• Strong expertise in SAP HANA, including performance optimization and troubleshooting across ERP, BW, and BW4HANA.
• Hands-on experience with SAP installations, system copies, Unicode conversions, and patching.
• Proficiency in OS environments: Unix, Linux, and Windows.
• Database management skills with HANA, ASE, Oracle, DB2, and MaxDB.
• Knowledge of FRUN, Cloud ALM, and Solution Manager.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics (CPU, memory, I/O) and conduct system assessments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing shift operations and leading a team of 10–15 consultants.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident and change management processes.
