Description

Lead the reverse engineering of legacy SAP BW environments to modernize the enterprise data platform. You will trace data flows from existing queries and transformations back to underlying ECC/S4HANA tables, documenting complete data lineage. Your work involves designing equivalent CDS Views and deploying them via Replication Flows in SAP Datasphere.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer existing SAP BW queries, transformations, and data flows to identify root data sources.
• Document end-to-end data lineage, mapping legacy structures to ECC/S4HANA base tables.
• Design and implement equivalent CDS Views in the source system to expose data natively.
• Deploy CDS Views via Replication Flows into SAP Datasphere for cloud-based analytics.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy during the transition from BW to Datasphere architecture.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SAP data migration or data engineering roles.
• Deep technical expertise in SAP BW architecture, including queries, transformations, and data flows.
• Strong proficiency in SAP ECC and S/4HANA, specifically understanding underlying tables and extractors.
• Hands-on experience designing CDS Views for data exposure.
• Practical knowledge of SAP Datasphere and Replication Flows.
• Ability to trace complex data lineage across legacy and modern SAP landscapes.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with enterprise-wide data platform modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of cloud-based analytics integration with SAP Datasphere.
