Description

You will design and implement SAP BW/4HANA data models, focusing on Data Tiering Optimization (DTO) and HANA performance tuning.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end DTO design and rollout in production environments.
• Develop embedded HANA objects including calculation views, SQLScript, table functions, and CDS views.
• Build BW/4HANA models using aDSO, CompositeProviders, Open ODS Views, and InfoObjects.
• Configure data extraction via ODP, S/4HANA/ECC extractors, SLT, ABAP CDS, flat-files, and APIs.
• Tune load and reporting performance through partitioning, memory management, and process chain optimization.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on SAP BW experience.
• Proven DTO implementation with at least one full production rollout.
• Experience with tiering technologies: NSE, Extension Nodes, SAP HANA Data Lake, Hadoop, or SDA/SDI.
• Strong HANA modeling skills: calculation views, SQLScript, and CDS views.
• Expertise in BW/4HANA modeling: aDSO (standard/write-optimized/staging), CompositeProvider, and query design.
• Knowledge of data integration sources: ODP, S/4HANA, ECC, SLT, and APIs.
• Understanding of partitioning, data temperature, and HANA memory management.
• Experience with process chains, scheduling, and error handling.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multiple tiering technologies beyond the minimum requirement.
• Advanced performance tuning expertise for large-scale data loads.
