Description

You will own the architecture and implementation of backend systems for enterprise commerce platforms.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Implement backend architectural artifacts for PIM, ERP, Commerce, and CMS systems.
• Design secure, cloud-native, scalable backend services using monolithic or microservice patterns.
• Maintain organization-wide Architecture Decision Records.
• Drive disaster resiliency and recovery planning for eCommerce projects.
• Establish logging, monitoring, and alerting strategies to ensure low MTTRs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development and systems architecture.
• Expert knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud.
• Deep understanding of SAP S/4, Elasticsearch/Solr, Redis, MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in Java and associated frameworks.
• Applied knowledge of microservice, monolithic, and distributed systems architectural patterns.
• Experience with event-driven architecture principles and tools such as Kafka and Pub/Sub.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience applying AuthN/AuthZ best practices, including OAuth2.
