Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation (EC Compensation) and Variable Pay
(Bonus) modules for enterprise clients.
• Act as trusted advisor to client stakeholders on Compensation strategy and best practices
• Drive solution architecture decisions for complex compensation programs
• Manage risks, escalations, and stakeholder expectations
• Drive end-to-end Compensation cycle execution (planning → worksheets → approvals → statements → payout)
• Manage cycle readiness activities (data validation, eligibility checks, budget allocations, launch forms)
• Support post-cycle audit and reconciliation
• Handle off-cycle adjustments and retro changes
• Experience with ad-hoc analytics Story reports for leaders
• Define and manage test strategy (SIT/UAT)
• Evaluate SAP half-yearly release impacts and recommend enhancements
• Lead client workshops for requirements gathering and Fit-Gap analysis; produce Solution Design Documents,
configuration workbooks, test scripts, and cutover plans.
• Manage client UAT cycles, triage defects, and assess impact of SAP SuccessFactors quarterly half-yearly
releases on compensation configuration.
Technical Skills — Required
• SAP SuccessFactors Compensation: plan template setup, budget configuration, compensation worksheets, custom
fields, formula-based columns (compa-ratio, range penetration) validations, eligibility rules and reward statements.
• Variable Pay (Bonus): target incentive plans, performance factor integration, payout formula design, and bonus
statement configuration.
• Promotions, Pay matrix and grade/range structure design: salary structures, geo-differentials, and grade advancement
rules tied to EC job classifications.
• Employee Central (EC) integration: compensation-EC publish-back, salary change workflows based on pay
component changes.
• PMGM integration: linking performance ratings and goal achievement scores to bonus eligibility and payout
multipliers in Variable Pay.
• Role-Based Permissions (RBP): compensation-specific role setup, planner/HR/manager hierarchies, route map
approvals
• Reporting: SF Compensation standard reports, custom report builder, and People Analytics / Story Reports for
compensation KPIs.
• Set up Reward statements, custom fields, formula-based fields, logo, signature updates and validations with
compensation worksheets.
• Must have knowledge of SuccessFactors Employee Central
Experience & Qualifications
• 9–12 years in SAP HCM / SuccessFactors; minimum 6+ years specifically in SuccessFactors Compensation and
Variable Pay support or implementations.
• At least 3 full end-to-end SF Compensation implementation or upgrade projects in a consulting (billable) capacity.
• Experience with enterprise clients (5,000+ employees); multi-country and multi-currency compensation rollout
experience is a strong advantage.
• Degree in IT, Information Systems, HR, Finance, or a related discipline.
• SAP SF Compensation Management certification required (or to be completed within 6 months of joining).
• Prior experience at a Tier-1/Tier-2 SAP integrator or Big-4 consulting firm is a strong advantage
