Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAS Administrator with minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in administering enterprise SAS platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing SAS environments, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and compliance across development, test, and production systems.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAS platforms (SAS 9.x and/or SAS Viya) across multiple environments.
• Manage SAS user access, security, roles, and permissions, including integration with LDAP/Active Directory and metadata security.
• Monitor SAS system health and performance, including servers, processes, and workloads; perform performance tuning and optimization as required.
• Configure and manage batch job scheduling and workload automation using SAS tools and enterprise schedulers (e.g., Autosys).
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Apply SAS hotfixes, patches, and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and compatibility with existing applications.
• Provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshoot platform and job failures, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Collaborate with teams on infrastructure, cloud, network, and storage to perform capacity planning, and ensure environment stability.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives using scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell) and support modernization or migration efforts (e.g., SAS to cloud or SAS Viya).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a SAS Administrator in enterprise environments
• Strong experience with SAS 9.x platform administration (Viya experience is a plus)
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration
• Hands-on experience with SAS security, metadata, and user management
• Experience with job scheduling and workload management tools
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with SAS Viya on Kubernetes
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Automation and scripting expertise
• Experience in Banking Domain
• Knowledge of CI/CD or Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
