Description

You will manage the SAS administration environment for a large user base, ensuring system stability and providing consulting support.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing RHEL scripts and schedules, and develop new scripts as needed.
• Provide SAS consulting assistance to approximately 8,000 end users, advising on coding techniques and best practices.
• Determine problems and enforce best practices within the SAS ecosystem.
• Support diverse data sources including DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access, MS Excel, Hadoop, Dremio, Starburst, ASCII, EBDCIC, and CLI interfaces.
• Follow documented procedures and escalate issues appropriately using ITSM principles.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SAS platform administration (SAS 9.x or Viya).
• Required experience with SAS Grid architecture and installation.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux command line and file systems.
• Proficiency with DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, and MS Excel.
• Basic scripting knowledge in Shell and Python.
• Familiarity with ITSM principles and ticket handling processes.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to SAS Grid, VA, or Viya environments.
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
