Description

Manage the SAS 9.4 Intelligence Platform on Linux environments. Own installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAS components. Secure user access and optimize server performance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade SAS 9.4 components (Metadata, Workspace, Stored Process servers) on Red Hat/Unix servers.
• Create users, groups, and Access Control Templates in SAS Management Console; configure LDAP authentication and authorization rules.
• Monitor server performance (CPU, Memory, I/O); tune configuration parameters to prevent metadata bottlenecks and manage cleanup of temp/log files.
• Perform systematic backups of metadata, configuration directories, and user content; apply hot fixes and security patches.
• Schedule and troubleshoot batch jobs using LSF; support end-users with SAS Enterprise Guide, Data Integration Studio, and web applications.

Required Skills

• 3-5+ years of SAS Platform Administration experience with SAS 9.4 Intelligence Platform.
• Proficient in Linux (Red Hat/RHEL preferred) including shell scripting for automation and file system permission management.
• Strong knowledge of SAS Management Console (SMC), SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS Grid Manager/LSF.
• Experience managing storage technologies (NAS/SAN/GPFS) and SAS/ACCESS engines for Oracle, SQL Server, and Teradata.
• SAS Certified Professional – Platform Administrator certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
