Description

Manage the SAS 9.4 Intelligence Platform on Linux environments, owning installation, configuration, and maintenance of all SAS components.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade SAS 9.4 components including Metadata, Workspace, and Stored Process servers on Red Hat/Unix systems.
• Manage user access via SAS Management Console, creating users, groups, and Access Control Templates while configuring LDAP authentication.
• Monitor server performance metrics (CPU, Memory, I/O) and tune configuration parameters to prevent metadata bottlenecks.
• Perform systematic backups of metadata and configuration directories, apply hot fixes, and manage security patches.
• Schedule and troubleshoot batch jobs using LSF and support end-users with SAS Enterprise Guide and Data Integration Studio.

Required Skills

• 3-5+ years of SAS Platform Administration experience specifically with the SAS 9.4 Intelligence Platform.
• Proficient in Linux (Red Hat/RHEL preferred) with strong shell scripting skills for automation and file system permission management.
• Deep knowledge of SAS Management Console (SMC), SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS Grid Manager/LSF.
• Experience managing storage technologies such as NAS, SAN, or GPFS.
• Hands-on experience with SAS/ACCESS engines for Oracle, SQL Server, and Teradata.
• SAS Certified Professional – Platform Administrator certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
