Description

Lead end-to-end SAS solution design, development, and performance optimization while guiding migration initiatives to modern data platforms.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex SAS solutions using Base SAS, Macros, and SQL for data transformations and reporting.
• Optimize SAS code for performance, scalability, and maintainability within Linux/Unix environments.
• Manage batch jobs, production support, failure analysis, and deployments across DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD.
• Guide migration or modernization efforts from SAS to Python, PySpark, and cloud platforms.
• Provide technical mentorship, conduct code reviews, and define coding standards for the development team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with SAS Base, Macros, and SQL.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining jobs in Linux and Unix environments.
• Understanding of SDLC, audit compliance, and deployment coordination.
• Experience with Python and PySpark for modernization projects.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and data architecture principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading technical teams and performing client-facing solution reviews.
• Background in data warehouse architecture and large-scale data transformations.
