Description

You will develop, maintain, and migrate SAS programs and macros within a Mainframe batch environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing SAS Mainframe code and build requirements to migrate legacy code to cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into SAS analytical and reporting solutions.
• Write clean, documented SAS code and rewrite legacy programs for improved technical implementation.
• Generate, validate, and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports using SAS ODS.
• Analyze and troubleshoot production issues, performing root cause analysis and documenting findings.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience developing and supporting SAS applications.
• Hands-on experience with Mainframe platforms including TSO, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Proficiency in SAS programming, macros, and batch job optimization in production Mainframe settings.
• Experience writing and debugging SQL and Python to support SAS data workflows.
• Experience working with data extraction, transformation, and merging files using SAS.
• Knowledge of data management concepts, data quality, and data governance in enterprise environments.
• Experience connecting SAS to multiple databases, including DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle via SAS/ACCESS.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, including Agile/Scrum, for SAS module development.
