We are looking for an experienced SAS SQL Developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAS development, SQL Server, ETL, data analysis, and production support.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in SAS Base, SAS Macro Programming, SAS DI Studio, SAS/ACCESS, advanced SQL development, and data warehouse environments. The candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting data solutions, troubleshooting production issues, performing RCA, optimizing queries, and ensuring smooth execution of batch and ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance SAS and SQL-based data solutions.
• Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data processing workflows.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using SAS DI Studio.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation.
• Support data warehouse and reporting environments.
• Monitor and support production applications, batch processes, and scheduled jobs.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
• Troubleshoot data, ETL, and SQL-related issues within defined SLAs.
• Perform SQL query and application performance tuning and optimization.
• Validate data accuracy across source and target systems.
• Work closely with business users, technical teams, QA, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow SDLC/change-management processes.

Required Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have:

• 4+ years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in SAS and SQL Development/Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAS Base, SAS Macros, SAS DI Studio, and SAS/ACCESS.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and advanced SQL.
• Experience with ETL, data validation, batch processing, and data troubleshooting.
• Strong production support and incident management experience.
• Ability to perform RCA and independently resolve technical issues.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a data warehouse/reporting environment
