SAS Visual Analytics Programmer and Report Developer

You will perform complex SAS programming, data analysis, and report development to enhance public education reports. You own the end-to-end lifecycle of SAS Visual Analytics reports, from gathering requirements to final delivery.

Responsibilities

• Gather data requirements and convert existing reports to SAS Visual Analytics using SAS datasets as the backend.
• Design, develop, and create SAS datasets and SAS Visual Analytics reports.
• Optimize SAS code using industry best practices to ensure performance and maintainability.
• Create and document requirements specifications, business rules, and user help information.
• Conduct Quality Assurance Testing to validate data integrity and report accuracy.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of SAS base programming experience.
• 7+ years of data analysis experience.
• 7+ years of SQL experience.
• 4+ years of SAS Visual Analytics report creation.
• 4+ years of dataset creation and data warehousing.
• 4+ years of Quality Assurance Testing experience.
• 4+ years of creating documentation for requirements and business rules.
• 4+ years of Excel experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office products and Crystal Reports.
• Web development tools including .NET, C#, ASP, or Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of state educational data sources such as PEIMS, teacher certification, Texas higher education, and STAAR III.
