Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications using Scala and AWS in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust Scala-based applications and scalable solutions on AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze technical requirements.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, peer reviews, and software development best practices.
• Optimize applications for performance and scalability while troubleshooting production issues.
• Document software functionality to support long-term maintenance.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Scala programming.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
• Experience building microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka, Spark, or Akka.
• Knowledge of containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in data streaming and real-time data processing.
