Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications using Scala.
• Build and maintain microservices and distributed systems.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party and internal services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design sessions, and code reviews.
• Work with messaging platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ for distributed event-driven systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD automation and cloud deployments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Contribute to system documentation, technical standards, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Skills Required:

• Strong hands-on experience with Scala and functional programming libraries such as Cats, ZIO, and FS2.
• Experience with Akka, Play Framework, and microservices architecture.
• Good understanding of reactive programming and concurrent/asynchronous systems.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and operations teams.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
