Description

You will build scalable, secure applications using Scala and Akka within a distributed systems environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable and secure applications using Scala and Akka.
• Apply functional and event-driven programming principles to complex, multi-system projects.
• Write unit tests and implement secure coding practices.
• Participate in CI/CD processes and support system reliability and performance optimization.
• Contribute to application design and integration with packaged software.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Scala software development.
• 5+ years of experience with Akka.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and Postgres.
• Proficiency in functional programming and the Actor model.
• Experience with event-driven programming.
• Experience working in CI/CD environments.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices.
• Experience writing unit tests.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of experience in application design and converting business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience with packaged application integration and financial services.
