Description

You will build and maintain high-scale microservices and client-facing REST APIs handling hundreds of millions of daily calls.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, dependable microservices using functional programming and reactive patterns.
• Develop and enhance REST APIs for consumer entitlement, parental controls, and settings verification.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of services and API endpoints.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to build and deploy infrastructure using cloud technologies.
• Write unit and integration tests following test-driven development practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on Scala.
• Proficiency in functional programming and utilizing Scala Futures for asynchronous functionality.
• Experience designing and building REST APIs with security implementations like OAuth2 and JWT.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm, Istio, or Argo.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes deployment, scaling, and management on AWS.
• Experience with caching architectures, specifically Memcached or Kafka.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk or Datadog.
• Experience using CI/CD automation tools like Jenkins or GitLab.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
• Background in software security principles and patterns.
