Description

Own backend development and data streaming initiatives using Scala and Kafka. Architect solutions, manage infrastructure, and mentor junior engineers on codebase standards.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications and data streaming solutions independently.
• Architect technical solutions and manage associated infrastructure tasks.
• Mentor junior developers on codebase structure and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with the team on large-scale projects and complex problem-solving.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional development experience with Scala.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka API for data streaming.
• Backend development experience focused on data processing.
• Proficiency with AWS or general cloud environments.
• Experience with Docker for containerization.
• Infrastructure management using Terraform.
• Version control and CI/CD experience with GitLab.
• Working knowledge of Redis.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience specifically working on data streaming projects.
