Build and maintain a next-generation Swaps trading platform, translating business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems.
• Manage large relational and object-oriented datasets to ensure system reliability.
• Liaise with regional support teams to resolve production issues promptly.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable information architecture.
• Deliver individual tasks and projects with a focus on maintainability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong functional programming experience using Scala.
• Experience building high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems.
• Knowledge of low-latency middleware, messaging platforms, and associated design patterns.
• Practical experience with TDD or BDD methodologies.
• Knowledge of event sourcing design patterns.
• Proficiency with relational and object databases.
• Experience designing enterprise applications in high-transaction environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cats or Scalaz.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) practices.
• Background in Capital Markets or the financial industry.
