Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices using Scala.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications using Scala and functional programming principles.
• Build and maintain backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Optimize system performance for low latency and high availability.
• Integrate applications with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews to ensure maintainability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Scala and functional programming.
• Experience with Akka, Play, or Spark frameworks.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
• Experience building RESTful APIs within microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
