Description

Build and maintain client-facing REST APIs managing IPTV data, including entitlements, parental controls, and settings verification.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop asynchronous, functional RESTful services using Scala.
• Maintain high-scale APIs handling hundreds of millions of requests daily.
• Implement consumer verification logic for on/off-net and parental control features.
• Operate within an Agile development methodology to deliver features.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Extensive experience developing REST services using Scala.
• Strong proficiency in functional programming and Scala Futures.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and MongoDB.
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with HTTP protocols and RESTful API design.
• Experience using Splunk for monitoring and observability.

Preferred Skills

• Background in the Satellite, Cable, or Telecom industries.
