Description

You will build reactive, event-driven systems using functional programming and the actor model.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Implement actor-based systems using Akka and Akka Streams.
• Architect reactive and event-driven system components.
• Develop web services using Play, Spring, or similar frameworks.
• Manage data flows using Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, or Cassandra.
• Integrate big data technologies and cloud-native services into the backend.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Scala and functional programming.
• Hands-on experience with Akka and Akka Streams.
• Experience with Java or Python.
• Proficiency with Play frameworks and Swagger.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Background in big data technologies such as Spark or R.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
• Knowledge of databases including Cassandra.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting.
