Description

You will own the stability and performance of Supply Chain Management systems, focusing on batch operations, database analysis, and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage daily/overnight batch jobs using Unix shell and SQL/PLSQL, validating pre- and post-conditions and executing safe reruns.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for job failures by reviewing Unix logs, runbooks, and database logs; document causes and drive corrective actions.
  • Analyze PL/SQL packages and long-running queries to identify defects or performance bottlenecks; coordinate with DBAs on index and statistics remediation.
  • Validate Manhattan UI configuration changes in lower environments, creating test scenarios and collaborating with the product team on outlier behaviors.
  • Publish daily status updates, prioritize items by business criticality, and maintain accurate runbooks and knowledge base articles in ServiceNow.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL for query writing, debugging, and package analysis.
  • Expertise in Unix/Linux shell scripting, log parsing (grep/awk/sed), and job orchestration.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose production incidents, trace data across tables, and produce actionable RCAs.
  • Experience with performance tuning basics, including interpreting execution plans and understanding indexing/statistics.
  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain processes, including inventory planning or demand forecasting.
  • Experience with incident/change management processes and structured stakeholder communication.
  • 10+ years of overall experience with substantial time in PL/SQL, Unix batch operations, and production support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills
