Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead technical design and implementation of complex capabilities across multiple engineering squads within SCPT.
• Define solution options with Architecture and guide teams on tradeoffs, risks, and long-term maintainability.
• Drive microservice and distributed-systems architecture using proven design patterns.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for Java services running on AWS, including containerized deployments.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and engineering best practices to raise quality and delivery standards.

Skills Required:

• 12+ years of relevant experience designing, building, and implementing end-to-end complex software solutions.
• Distributed systems and scalable architecture for enterprise services.
• Java and microservices architecture with strong design-pattern fundamentals.
• AWS and AWS Cloud experience building and operating backend services.
• API and microservice patterns implemented in Java-based services.

Good to Have:

• Retail domain experience.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
