Description

You will build and maintain distributed systems for core rating logic within an incentivized dynamic pricing engine. You will design high-performance, scalable services to ingest near real-time data streams and integrate them into statistical and machine learning models. Your work will involve developing backend APIs for mobile push events and third-party data pulls, while optimizing SQL queries across enterprise data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain distributed systems for core rating and risk pricing logic.
• Develop streaming processing applications and data ingestion pipelines for real-time insights.
• Design and maintain backend APIs for mobile event streams and third-party integrations.
• Write optimized SQL queries against enterprise data warehouses like Redshift and BigQuery.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce engineering best practices, including coding standards and testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of backend software development experience with production-grade, scalable code.
• Expertise in Python and common web frameworks such as Flask and Django.
• Experience with stream processing frameworks including Spark, Kafka Streams, or Flink.
• Proficiency with HTTP APIs, message brokers, and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in containerized Linux environments on AWS.
• Expertise in writing optimized SQL queries for Redshift or BigQuery.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of statistical and machine learning models.
