Description

You will design and develop backend systems using Java 17+ and modern frameworks.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-availability microservices using Spring 6, Spring Boot 3, Vert.x, or Dropwizard.
• Model relational data and optimize database interactions with MySQL.
• Implement caching mechanisms using Redis and search/indexing features via Elasticsearch.
• Develop serverless workflows using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Integrate asynchronous messaging using AWS SQS, SNS, and ActiveMQ.

Required Skills

• 1+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development, specifically with Java 17+.
• Proficiency in Spring 6, Spring Boot 3, Vert.x, and Dropwizard.
• Strong command of MySQL, database design, and query optimization.
• Experience with Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EC2, S3, and RDS.
• Familiarity with message brokers such as ActiveMQ.
• Solid understanding of Data Structures, algorithms, multithreading, and system design.
• Proficiency in version control using GitHub.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Ruby on Rails, Consul, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Kibana and Datadog.
• Practical use of AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude AI to assist development.
