Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
Develop automated test scripts using Python, Go, Shell Scripting, or other suitable programming languages.
Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, scalability, reliability, upgrade, and compatibility testing.
Test Kubernetes-based applications, containerized workloads, orchestration workflows, and distributed infrastructure components.
Validate Kubernetes deployments, pods, services, networking, storage, configurations, and resource management.
Design and execute API testing and CLI-based testing to validate system functionality and integration.
Automate end-to-end test scenarios and integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Validate Docker images, container lifecycle management, deployment workflows, and runtime behavior.
Test Kubernetes upgrades, application upgrades, backward compatibility, failure recovery, and system resilience.
Perform performance, load, stress, and scale testing to identify bottlenecks and assess system limits.
Troubleshoot complex issues across Linux systems, containers, Kubernetes clusters, networking, and distributed services.
Analyze test failures, application logs, system metrics, and debugging information to identify root causes.
Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, platform engineers, and product teams to resolve defects.
Define test strategies, test plans, test cases, automation coverage, and quality acceptance criteria.
Support release readiness assessments and provide quality engineering sign-offs before production releases.
Participate in code reviews, defect triage, sprint planning, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Technical Skills

SDET / Test Automation: Strong experience in automation framework development and software quality engineering.
Kubernetes: Hands-on experience testing Kubernetes-based applications and cluster environments.
Docker: Containerization, image validation, container lifecycle, and runtime testing.
Linux: Strong command-line skills, system troubleshooting, process management, logs, and diagnostics.
Shell Scripting: Bash or other shell scripting for test automation and operational tasks.
Python or Go: Ability to write automation scripts, utilities, test tools, and validation programs.
API Testing: Experience testing REST APIs, service integrations, request/response validation, and error handling.
CLI Testing: Experience automating command-line workflows and validating command outputs and system behavior.
CI/CD: Experience integrating test automation into continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Git: Version control, branching, code collaboration, and test automation maintenance.
Testing Methodologies: Functional, integration, regression, performance, scale, upgrade, and reliability testing.
Debugging and Troubleshooting: Ability to investigate failures in distributed and containerized environments.

Additional / Good-to-Have Skills

Kubernetes Operators and operator lifecycle management.
Helm charts, deployment templates, configuration management, and release validation.
Container Storage Interface (CSI), persistent volumes, storage classes, and storage lifecycle testing.
OpenShift administration, deployment, and testing.
Cloud-native architecture and distributed systems.
Kubernetes networking, service discovery, ingress, and network troubleshooting.
Observability tools, monitoring, logging, and metrics analysis.
Chaos testing, fault injection, resilience testing, and failure recovery.
Infrastructure automation and configuration management.
Experience with tools such as pytest, Go testing frameworks, Robot Framework, or similar automation frameworks.
Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent CI/CD tools
