Description

You will build and maintain the mobile authentication testing infrastructure for the engineering team.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Test complex mobile authentication flows across iOS devices, OS versions, and login variations.
• Validate mobile-to-backend interactions including proxy networking, session management, and token handling.
• Build the team's first mobile automation framework from scratch using Appium.
• Develop regression automation suites targeting 25% automation coverage by year-end.
• Analyze backend authentication logic and network traces to identify failure modes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test engineering.
• Strong experience testing mobile applications, specifically on iOS.
• Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation.
• Proficiency in WebdriverIO for cross-platform automation.
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to reason about proxy networking, multi-device authentication, and backend logic.
• Comfortable analyzing logs, network traces, and backend responses.
• Experience transitioning manual testing efforts to structured automation.

Preferred Skills

• Proactive ability to identify risks and complex user behaviors beyond step-by-step test cases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for infrastructure testing.
