Description

Lead the automation strategy and continuous delivery efforts for the application team in McLean, VA.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the overall automation strategy for the application under test.
• Guide testers and automation engineers in approach design, script development, execution, and reporting.
• Support continuous delivery efforts and participate in code review meetings.
• Analyze test results and manage defect resolution tasks.
• Influence stakeholders to adopt automation practices that improve software development processes.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of proven experience in automation testing.
• Proficiency in Java, Selenium, BDD, and TDD.
• Experience with Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools.
• Proven experience in API automation using REST Assured or Karate.
• Experience with both front-end and backend automation.
• Knowledge of databases including DB2, MongoDB, or Snowflake.
• Ability to write SQL queries.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with file handling in Java.
• Knowledge or experience in Cypress.
• AWS certification.
