Description

Ensure the quality and reliability of ETL processes and data integration workflows through automated testing and validation.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts and frameworks to validate data transformation and migration.
• Review technical design documents and requirements to implement test strategies for complex initiatives.
• Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities while tracking quality metrics like defect densities.
• Identify, document, and track bugs through root cause analysis and thorough regression testing.
• Collaborate with data engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve data quality issues and define system requirements.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years focused on ETL testing and automation framework development.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language for test case automation.
• Strong SQL skills with experience handling big data using ETL tools such as Informatica.
• Experience testing in cloud environments, specifically AWS S3.
• Hands-on experience with Test Automation and DevOps practices within ETL and Cloud workflows.
• Work experience in a Big Data ecosystem processing data in a data lakehouse.
• Experience providing testing oversight within an Agile team.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and business communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool) or similar data transformation tools.
