Description

Manage the security posture of information systems by monitoring for unauthorized access, intrusions, and data exfiltration while owning the incident response lifecycle.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments across various operating systems and streamline scanning technologies.
• Design and build dashboards within SIEM environments to monitor threats and anomalies.
• Perform incident response and troubleshooting to resolve security events and provide closure.
• Mentor junior staff on security practices, protocols, and analysis principles.
• Document current and future technologies for security procedures and playbooks.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of Cyber Security analyst experience.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, specifically Splunk.
• Experience using monitoring tools and sniffers to identify anomalies from log sources.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco products and network security protocols.
• Deep understanding of HTTP, SMTP, and other common network protocols.
• Ability to pivot through various technologies during incident response cycles.
• Competence in performing threat assessments and reporting security posture to management.
