Description

You will manage and oversee a statewide security awareness training program serving over 50,000 users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review statewide policies regarding security and privacy awareness requirements, scope, and roles.
• Coordinate the dissemination of training materials, including initial onboarding, monthly microlearning, quarterly stakeholder briefings, and annual privacy and role-based training.
• Plan and coordinate curriculum and resources for the annual security awareness summit.
• Monitor program effectiveness through key metrics and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
• Perform administrative tasks within the training platform, including account provisioning, report generation, campaign administration, and troubleshooting.
• Define requirements for new training platforms and manage the evaluation process.
• Maintain awareness content for the Maryland.gov security awareness training webpage.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in information technology with a focus on security awareness, privacy, or cybersecurity.
• 5+ years of experience designing and maturing security awareness programs for medium to large organizations.
• 3+ years of experience administering the Proofpoint Security Awareness Training platform.
• Experience with policy, process, and procedure development.
• Ability to develop system-related requirements for solicitations.
• Experience creating executive-level presentations and hosting virtual training sessions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.
• CISSP, CISM, CDPSE, CRISC, or CIPM certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
