Description

You will manage and troubleshoot the global Tenable vulnerability scanning platform, ensuring system health and accurate threat detection.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux systems (Ubuntu and RedHat), managing users, groups, SSH, and application deployment.
• Investigate root causes for scanner failures, false negatives, and false positives.
• Perform network troubleshooting and analyze packet captures using Wireshark and TCP-DUMP.
• Support the Tenable platform via tier 2 or 3 administration and troubleshooting.
• Maintain system health through regular monitoring of memory usage and system health checks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IT security with a focus on vulnerability management.
• Expert-level proficiency with Tenable.io and Tenable.sc platforms.
• Strong Linux System Administration experience (Ubuntu and RedHat).
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, TCP/UDP protocols, and services.
• Proficiency in network packet capture and analysis using Wireshark.
• Experience with agent deployment and credential management.
• Ability to perform system maintenance, including group assignments and key management.

Preferred Skills

• Python and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response Module.
• Knowledge of Threat Intelligence.
