Description

You will manage the security posture of web applications through WAF operations and threat mitigation.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of Web Application Firewall (WAF) operations, including rule creation, configuration, and tuning.
• Perform threat hunting and mitigation to address vulnerabilities and prevent attacks.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, DDoS threats, and bot attacks.
• Collaborate with application teams to troubleshoot WAF issues and implement security blocks.
• Ensure consistent application security best practices are followed and improved.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering.
• Expertise with Web Application Firewall (WAF), specifically Akamai WAF.
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, SQL Injection) and mitigation.
• Proficiency in Splunk for running searches, building dashboards, and traffic analysis.
• Experience with DDoS protection and bot detection/prevention.
• Strong communication skills.
