Description

 

ROLE PURPOSE

The Security & Integration Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing security, access control, CCTV, burglar alarm, networking, AV, and integrated low-voltage projects from project kickoff through completion.

 

This role combines project management, field coordination, technical oversight, and client communication to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with JDAV standards, client expectations, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes.

 

The Security & Integration Project Manager works closely with Engineering, Operations, Field Teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to manage project schedules, review documentation, resolve issues, support installation teams, and ensure successful testing, commissioning, and closeout.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning & Coordination 

•     Coordinate security, access control, CCTV, burglar alarm, networking, AV, and integrated low-voltage projects from kickoff through closeout.

•     Develop and maintain project schedules, task lists, project timelines, and installation coordination plans.

•     Track project milestones, labor needs, equipment readiness, procurement status, and overall job progress.

•     Conduct site walks, project meetings, progress reviews, and coordination meetings as needed.

•     Communicate project updates, issues, and schedule changes to internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Technical Oversight & Field Support 

•     Review project drawings, scopes of work, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders to ensure project requirements are understood and properly executed.

•     Work with Engineering and Field Teams to confirm system layouts, equipment requirements, installation details, and technical expectations.

•     Support field technicians with technical questions, issue resolution, and coordination needs during installation.

•     Ensure systems are installed, tested, programmed, and commissioned according to project requirements and company standards.

•     Help identify and resolve field conflicts, technical issues, and project delays.

Client, Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination 

•     Serve as a main point of contact for project-related communication.

•     Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, equipment deliveries, and project requirements to support the installation schedule.

•     Manage project escalations and assist with issue resolution.

•     Maintain professional communication with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Documentation & Closeout 

•     Ensure project documentation is complete and accurate, including drawings, as-builts, system notes, programming records, warranty information, and closeout packages.

•     Track punch list items and follow through until completion.

•     Coordinate final testing, client training, system hand-off, and closeout documentation.

•     Support the transition from installation to service after project completion.

Leadership & Quality Control 

•     Provide guidance and direction to field technicians and subcontractors during project execution.

•     Promote safety, professionalism, clean workmanship, and adherence to JDAV installation standards.

•     Help improve project delivery processes, communication, documentation, and client satisfaction.
EXPECTED COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS

•     Strong knowledge of security systems, access control, CCTV, burglar alarm, networking, AV, and integrated low-voltage technologies.

•     Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, scopes of work, schedules, submittals, and technical documentation.

•     Strong project coordination, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

•     Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, clients, vendors, and field teams.

•     Proficiency with D-Tools, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software preferred.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

•     High School Diploma or GED required.

•     Minimum five (5) years of experience in security, low-voltage integration, AV, project coordination, project management, or a related field preferred.

•     Experience with access control, CCTV, burglar alarm, networking, and integrated technology systems preferred.

Manufacturer certifications, security licensing experience, or project management training are a plus
