Description

You will lead the vulnerability management program, overseeing remediation efforts and acting as the primary subject matter expert for security weaknesses across the organization.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the vulnerability management program, conducting regular assessments to identify system and application weaknesses.
• Coordinate with IT and development teams to prioritize vulnerabilities and ensure timely remediation.
• Facilitate incident response activities and leverage ticketing systems to track, delegate, and document task resolutions.
• Collaborate with compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements and industry security standards.
• Prepare vulnerability reports for senior management and provide staff training on risk mitigation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in security vulnerability management.
• Extensive experience with Tenable Security Center.
• Technical proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems and system hardening.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and frameworks such as NIST or FAIR.
• Familiarity with DAST tools like Rapid7 AppSpider.
• Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, OSI Model, firewalls, and IDS.
• Ability to pass a Pennsylvania State Police background check with no felony offenses.
• Professional communication skills for presenting findings and negotiating remediation steps.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant security certifications.
