Senior Accessibility Engineer

You will design and develop accessible AI-powered applications using Amazon Bedrock and AWS AI/ML services, ensuring strict compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 standards.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python-based microservices and APIs to support AI/ML workflows.
• Integrate Large Language Models via Bedrock into user-facing applications with an accessibility-first design approach.
• Conduct accessibility audits, testing, and remediation across web applications to ensure compliance.
• Implement and maintain automated accessibility testing pipelines within the CI/CD process.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, product, and DevSecOps teams to embed accessibility into the development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 8–12 years of experience in software engineering or accessibility engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with AWS native services: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and IAM.
• Proficiency in Amazon Bedrock, including prompt engineering and model integration.
• Strong Python development skills for building scalable microservices.
• Deep knowledge of Section 508 compliance and WCAG standards.
• Experience with accessibility testing tools such as Axe and Wave.
